His good friend, Edward Stettinius, Secretary of State in 1944, who attended UVA until 1924, was a frequent visitor and house guest. Professor MacLeod's English Tudor-style home is situated in a prime location at the corner of Stadium Road and JPA, the Stone House is just steps from Cabell Hall, the Engineering School and the UVA Medical Center.
