Tiny house on stilts near downtown and river

The 'Treehouse' is a small, charming, rustic, 2 story house on stilts in the Woolen Mills neighborhood 2 miles from UVA. Air conditioning. Woodstove in winter: Firewood provided. Each floor is 12 ft x 12 ft. Downstairs there is a queen sized futon... bed, and a small kitchen (with refridgerator, toaster oven, hotplate, coffee maker, Britta filter and basic kitchen supplies. The upstairs is accessible by a steep staircase. It has a queen-sized bed, a dresser and a desk.
Downstairs is cozy with the wood stove and a window A/C unit which cools the place down quickly in summer.
There is a wrap-around porch with a couch and a great view of the creek, and the surrounding greenery. The half bathroom is located in an enclosed room on the porch (toilet and sink.) The hot, private OUTDOOR shower is adjacent on the porch. Unusual! And yes, we do have happy renters in the winter! Laundromat is in the neighborhood. Possibility of using our machines once a week. in the main house.
We are located 2 miles from UVA, and 1 mile from the downtown mall in Charlottesville, which is full of delicious restaurants and entertainment. There are also several good restaurants a few blocks away. The Treehouse is across the street from a lovely riverside trail: great place to walk dogs, bike and stroll. By a creek with a black walnut tree with a swing, vegetable garden and free-range chickens in the yard that inhabit the coop under the Treehouse. Fresh eggs!
This is an Eco-friendly house. We do not use harsh chemicals, so occassionally seasonal bugs may make their way into the treehouse (ladybugs, etc..)
Onesty Family Water park is 2 blocks away with a lazy river, slides, lap lanes at certain hours, and obstacle courses. ACAC gym is 1 mile away with excercise classes, warm water salt pools, jacuzzi, sauna and a rooftop deck.
Thomas Jefferson's Monticello is 10 minutes away, and many fabulous restaurants are in walking distance (10 minute walk.) Read More
